The reflection of 2011-2012 was written to show our progress in Tech Prep.
To sum this reflection up, I learned how to be more confident and to be more communicative.

2011-2012 Reflection
In Tech Prep 11 there were a lot of challenges that had to be overcome. One of those challenges was lateral thinking. Lateral thinking consists of thinking outside of the box, which I didn't have a lot of experience doing. There was also many class projects that included lateral thinking too. One of the projects that we needed lateral thinking was the "Death Swamp" challenge. I really enjoyed the projects, books, and the poems. I also gained somethings from this class too, which included time management skills, some confidence, and I also gained some friends.
I really enjoyed some of the group projects, and working with my peers. The group projects made me learn things about everyone in the group. For example, one might be better at public speaking than the others, maybe one is more creative than the others. The groups really balance out. On the flip side, I also enjoyed the independent projects too. One thing that wasn't a problem for me was the deadlines. I am really good at doing my work on time and doing a good job on the work.
The books that we read in class, Tuesdays with Morrie, Tears of a Tiger, and The Secret Life of Bees, were exciting and I really enjoyed reading them. I've never really enjoyed reading books in class because people are boring. We also watched a movie that was titled It's a Wonderful Life. The movie had a good meaning and I got something out of the movie. In fact, I got something from every single book, play and movie that we had experienced together. The play we read, A Raisin in the Sun was a weird play about the 50's and how people were segregated back then. The best book that we read was The Secret Life of Bees, I really enjoyed that book the best. The book and the movie were amazing and I want to read it again.
Some people had problems with their flash drives, but I know how to keep track of my stuff. The same story with lateness, I am never late to class, well it's probably because my class is right down the hall. I really wasn't absent much, other than a couple times in the 4th quarter. At times I had trouble communicating with people because I speak low, but I had to work through that and grow from that.
My favorite assignment was the Vision Board, because It really showed me what I wanted to be and what I wanted to accomplish. It was nice looking through those magazines and finding random stuff that looked cool. My least favorite project was the Career Prezentation because I was having some technical difficulties. I also hate presenting projects and getting up infront of the class. I still regret not presenting but I was too worked up and negative about it. Overall, this year and this class was a good investment because I learned a lot about myself and about the people around me.
